It's roast chicken. They make it very, very well. If you can order the gratin dauphinois, do it; their main sin is not making it available daily.
But seriously, probably the best rôtisserie I've had. -

What an exquisite dinner! Family style type of serving with no menu but a choice between roasted chicken and mutton. There are several salads: lettuce with a mustard dressing, various raw veggies and a fabulous potato salad that was generous in mayonnaise.
Then comes the roasted chicken that is cooked to the perfection and served with its chicken fat sauce and the infamous rosti (potatoes)
If you can (and have a good appetite) , don't skip la tarte à la crème for dessert (very thin crust with a layer of fresh cream and caramelised sugar)
The staff is welcoming and there are a lot of large table for groups.
Finally it will suit all kind of people's taste and it has this old-school feel. -

I love this place, actually what I love the most about this place is the stories behind such nice restaurants
The way the food is cooked is another beautiful story about this place.
Reservation is needed to dine in the restaurant -

A bit disappointed by the experience based on the Yelp reviews. It is a great restaurant, cozy and authentic are certainly the key words to be used for this auberge. Service was also excellent and they did a good job at always checking our table to ensure we had everything. I like the menu concept as well of the grilled chicken or lamb. The chicken and lamb were good as well as the rosti (type of hash brown).
The drawbacks are in the price and the dessert. We ended up paying 115.- CHF for two people and no wine! Even in Switzerland, this is simply too high for a grilled chicken, a side of hash brown, a cream tart and a bottle of water. The dessert itself was 22.- CHF for a tarte à la crème that was quite thin for my taste. Nothing outstanding in the dessert to justify this price tag to be honest.
I would say the atmosphere of the restaurant is fantastic, the smell of grilled chicken inside the restaurant is inviting but you leave this place not knowing if you would come back another time. -

Always excellent food and very welcoming service! The atmosphere is just perfect, tucked in one of the cutest villages of the areas and the ambience is cozy and intimate, great for winter time. Simple but delicious offerings with locally sourced ingredients, easy to keep it gluten free for those who are intolerant but you do miss out on the outstanding "tarte a la creme".
